Went out north of the river to Gelato Messina. It is the first store in Perth. We've had it in Melbourne and enjoyed it. It was very nice but is in a dodgy suburb. It was filthy and spooky.
This morning I went for my 6 monthly diabetes check. All good with the blood sugar but I have put on 3 kg which isn't so good. I keep tasting the things I cook when I shouldn't. Fortunately no medication for the diabetes still.

You’re a great Grandma Chookie.
You sure are.

I made choc chip biscuits without the choc chips. Instead I put a Reece’s peanut butter/choc chip thing in the middle. Of course I had to try one.

A friend had an operation on her ankle and used a knee scooter. She said it was a big help.

DH marched today for the first time. He had to be in the city by 8am, which meant leaving home at 7.15am. Then I had to negotiate the streets that were closed for the March. We managed it all ok.

Marina I can understand your concern. I think I would be hopeless with crutches.  A friend had a staircase at his place when he had a hip replacement. He mentioned it to the Physio and she showed him the best way to negotiate it. Take care.

I made a Classic loaf today. It doesn’t seem to have risen much. I’m fairly sure I put the yeast in and the SD starter was bubbly. It was very cool here today for a change so I helped it along. Hopefully y I didn’t kill the yeast. I’ve put it in the fridge overnight and will see how it is in the morning.

Keeping in mind that spiralised zucchini are called zoodles ... today I made poodle and sweetpoodle soup (clue: think of potato)

Love it. I’m going to make some poodle soup when it cools down. 😀😀😀😀😀
