Dizzy Girl. Love the idea of the baked bean cases and creamed corn filling - yum !  Snagged that one for the weekend.

Looks like I'm gonna be a busy girl

Thanks for the recipe Bubbles - I'm going to try this on the weekend.

Can I ask though, when you put the water in the Varoma, is it cold water or hot water ?

I hadn't been using my TM much but I've decided that's gotta change!  I got my iPad and my tapatalk app and I've spent the last few days just reading posts and you guys have inspired me - so tonight I made Chicken tenderloins with pockets cut and filled with a mixture of sundried tomatoes, anchovies, garlic, capers and evoo (which were chopped up in the TM) and then wrapped in silver beet leaves and steamed in the Veroma. I steamed my veggies in the Veroma as well and boiled baby potatoes in the simmer basket. I also made individual lemon meringue pies (recipe from this forum). All very nice. So ladies I'm back and there's no stopping me now !!!!!!!

Thank you so much for this recipe. DH loves lemon meringue pie but it's either too tangy or too sweet plus he doesn't like pastry much so I used to make it in individual bowls without pastry. But tonight I made your version and he said it was the best he ever had !!!   I was a little worried as the pastry didn't come together at all after adding the water but it ended up fine. The pastry just melted I your mouth.  I made 4 individual pies so I have 2 left over for tomorrow.

This was my first weekend with my TM that hubby bought me for my birthday.  My birthday isn't actually until tomorrow though and he insists that I shouldn't be using it, warning to hubby - don't try to take it away - I'm addicted to this thing already !!

Today I've made

Rock cakes from EDC
Minestrone soup from EDC
Lemon Sorbet from My Way of Cooking

I know they are pretty basic but I'm still a newbie  :)

Its sold for over $500 !!!

The buyer has 100% bidding history with that seller so the buyer will either be a friend bidding it up or one very disappointed person when the book turns up without a machine attached !!

Recipe Requests / Re: Baked Egg Custard Tart

Thanks for going to so much trouble Judy, I really appreciate it.

I'll give it a try by leaving out the lemon and then I probably should reduce the sugar as well.

I might just have to make the lemon tart as well !!

Thanks again

Recipe Requests / Baked Egg Custard Tart
« on: August 24, 2011, 10:26:23 am »
Hi all.

I'm wanting to make a baked egg custard tart, the kind that you bake and then sprinkle nutmeg over and you eat it cold.

I've had my machine for about 48 hours so I don't think I'm going to be too proficient in convering an existing receipe yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Chrissa

My hubby bought me my TM as a surprise for my birthday.  He arranged the demo at a friends place and I had no idea that he had set me up !!!

It was delivered a couple of days ago and I've already made the vegetable stock concentrate and three dips.  I only stopped when I ran out of ingredients.

I've got tomoro off and boy, have I got plans !!!

Now, off to find some recipes......
 ;)
