I made some traditional choc chip cookies yesterday. The family requested something with choc chips in as we haven’t had them much recently. Budgies
can’t eat chocolate and our budgie used to love sharing snacks with any of us. Sadly he became very unwell a couple of weeks ago and was in a lot of pain so we opted to say goodbye to him. It has certainly made our house very quiet as he chatted all day…in English.
He’s having a snack in this photo.
DD has already paid a deposit for a new one.

Bless him cookie, what a great life he had with you and the family - you both brought joy into each other’s life.

Oh Cookie that is so sad. Hope the new one has an interesting name. When I had Chooks I found that there were very few vets who were familiar with their needs.  However I had a school colleague who knew a great deal. He was better than any vet that I had access to.

More cream of celery soup as we are back to winter today. Perhaps some SD crumpets to go with it.

I made 2 bread sticks using Chookie's no fuss loaf.  I'll make one into garlic bread to have with dinner tonight.
