Can I ask a somewhat less than delicate question...
With so many beans, are there any, um, repercussions? Does one need to remain upwind of people eating this cake?
I'd like to make it but am wary of the potential consequences!
Thx
Gillian

If you are worried teagg, just give the beans a thorough rinsing before adding them.

I make this cake all the time but use coconut oil so it's dairy free and rapadura (a bit less than the recipes asks for in sugar), sometimes I add frozen berries too and make an icing out dates cocoa and coconut cream with a little rice malt syrup. It's always a hit! only wind repercussions i've noticed or heard of were from a friend who was breast feeding and her baby got very windy.

This is in the oven now. Used butter beans instead of kidney beans. The girls licked the bowl and spatulas clean!

*Bumping*  Love this cake.  Haven't made it for a while though and a friend just popped in with some for me!  Just in time for a much needed afternoon cup of tea (while cleaning out the fridge . . . . ;D )
