Title: Ferrero Rocher
Post by: Montoya on December 27, 2011, 08:34:42 am
Would anyone have any good recipes which use Ferrero Rocher chocolates? We were given so many for Christmas and I think they oculd be made into an awesome dessert. Thanks so much! ;D

That's a great idea, I second that! We have got sooooo much chocolate that I groan every time I open the fridge or cupboard!!!

Yum that does sound good. Problem though is that a couple of weeks ago, IGA had 600ml cartons of cream going for $1 so I bought the lot!!! All 14 cartons  ;D but I chucked them straight in the freezer. So am I right in thinking that it would be no good for ice cream as I'd have to defrost then refreeze?

Yum! Thanks Judy. This looks great. Still waiting for my thermie though! The Christmas period sure has slowed things down. I ordered Thermie on the 13th Dec!!!!! May have to wait till HO is back on the 3rd Jan!!! Oh NOOO!!!!  :o Nevertheless I have so many delicious recipes  to try when it does finally come. :) I must have printed off hundreds from this forum already! It's been priceless. Thanks for everyone's help!

yes you are right about the defrosting and  refreezing hools  bit, but if you were to make a cooked sauce  with it, it can be  refrozen

same with meat and chicken how many of us have made lasanga with frozen  mince then have frozen  the leftovers ? i know i have.

Par-cook some fresh peeled pears in syrup.
When cool, cut in half and remove core.
Place a Ferrero Rocher chocky in the core cavity.
Defrost some puff pastry sheets, cut each one into four squares.
Place each pear half face down on a sheet of pastry.
Glaze the pears with some apricot jam and bake until pear is cooked and pastry is puffed and crisp around the edges.

Yum!
MJ, I have placed a copy of this recipe in the Non-Thermomix section here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=8515.0)
