Hey there,
Today I thought I would try and make some brown rice in the TM and use the Varoma to cook some veggies while the rice was cooking, I had 350grams of brown rice (macro, Woolworths brand, organic brown rice) with 1 litre of chicken stock as I wanted the rice to be flavorsome. However the rice took forever to cook, i mean forever, after 35min in the TM it was still tough and hard, then i tried another 10min, still no good, bascially after 60min of cooking i gave up. Do you get perfect rice every time ?? I followed the basic cookbook you get with the TM but it wasn't right :( Please tell me what I've been doing wrong. :(

Hey Everyone,
We have had the thermomix for now a while and to be honest it's been sitting in the cupboard collecting dust, My wife & I are very busy with work/business so I'm looking for fast fresh tasty healthy meals i can whip up quick!! My wife isnt a good cook (lol i hope she doesnt read this) so it's left up to me, actually i love cooking and food but she is fussy so its hard sometimes I just eat whatever she feels like. We have just been blessed with a little girl and we all want to eat and be healthier by not eating takeaway. So here i go :)

Being a bloke in the kitchen is ok right ? :D

Cheers

Dan
