Tumeric & Chilli Lamb Roast - KIS p83
« on: December 24, 2013, 12:34:13 am »
This is super easy and very tasty. You really do need the baking paper added to the Varoma when you go to steam the lamb, I remembered half way through cos it didn't appear to be steaming very much, and then I added it and cooked a bit longer. Will definitely be making this again.

We had our neighbours over for dinner last night and we had this. The marinade was really easy to make. It was the first time I had steamed red meat, so I was a little unsure about it but it worked well. My DH finished the cooking on the BBQ and not in the oven as per the recipe.

It was delicious, the flavours were great. The meat was tender and moist. Everyone enjoyed it. Great recipe!

Thanks CP and Katie, I was going through the book again today and looked again at the lamb, so will give it a go.

Finally got around to trying this but cheated and bought already marinated lamb.  It was really lovely.  Keeps the lamb pink and moist.  Will use Tenina's marinade next time.
