Thanks Cookie.  After this I'll post in the What's for dinner thread when I make anything more using it. What I've used it for so far makes me very happy I've got one but I don't want to hog this thread, it's not fair.  :D

I've seen a few independant recipes on-line and I'm sure as more people buy them we will start to see this happening more.  Someone juiced some pumpkin and used that as a flavour/colour base insted of water, I wouldn't have thought of that.  :D

I'll end saying the penne yesterday turned out really well.  The first couple of bits that came out were a bit ugly but as the machine got going they were perfect.  Again only took about 5 mins of cooking time until a bite test told me they were al dente.  Just made a small serve but it was lovely.

I think cutting them off about 1cm thick as they extrude would make them a good alternative to macaroni.  Of course not the same thing, but I think they would work really well.

I've read on the Philips site that they will be bringing more dies out so will look forward to that.  :D

Phillips should pay you for testing recipes Julie  ;D  I'm pleased for you that you're loving this machine and if anyone has any doubts about buying it, your testing would certainly have allayed any doubts they might have.

That looks amazing JulieO. I'm assuming it's macaroni cheese - is it a recipe from here?

Thank you again girls.  :D  I can understand why many of you were posting about the Airfryer when you all bought one.  When you are happy with something you can't seem to help yourself  ;D

Wonder,  the recipe is from the incuded recipe book, except I only made a half serve of the pasta.  :D

The machine is having a rest day today but tomorrow I'm making soba noodles to go with a salmon & asparagus salad.  Using buckwheat flour will be a first, so will see how that turns out.  :D

Stacelee and JulieO I am ready to go out and purchase.  ;D ;DThe Good guys have a pasta maker they advertise as a Saeco one, yet it has Philips on the front of it.
What is the model number of yours please? This one is HR 2357/06

I don't want to buy the wrong one. The pictures look exactly the same as yours. Thanks.

That's the one Cookie.  I paid $260 at Harvey Norman just so you have a comparison.  :)

Thats definitely it.  I got mine from TVSN because I wanted the extra dies and they had them packaged with it (and I didn't have time to go looking for it).  The classic was that the day I ordered it, I ended up going late night shopping unexpectedly and I saw it in Myers and in JB HiFi.

Thanks.  :D :D
I have been checking which stores have it and had a chat to the lass at my local Good
Guys. She said the guy brought them in and demonstrated it. She said everyone in the store  loved it. However they are out of stock. My local HN has one so I may go and get it in the morning.
Apparently it is Saeco/Philips now I was told. Not that it makes a difference.
