Hi Friends.

A grey overcast day with the threat of rain.A good walk with Chance but he has pick used a bit of a limp.So that means restrictive walking on a lead which he won't like.

Great service from your physio practice Cookie.

I hope you get warm and stop coughing soon Trudy.  :-*

Hello everyone.

My jury duties are now over.  They finished early this month for some reason but I'm not complaining.  Was picked for 2 trials and was sat in court waiting to see if I was to be picked for another one but it got called off because the defendant didn't show up  :o  Anyway, at the end of it I can say I enjoyed it, especially after I got used to the travelling every day.  Was good to get dressed up each morning and do the drive much earlier than was needed, just so I could take my time and not be rushed.  I had plenty of time to make a cuppa when I got there too which was good.
I met some nice people and it brought me out of my shell a bit; was good for me.

We were also paid quite handsomely I must say and I've done some indulgent shopping.

Will be good to get back to normal though, can't wait to get into some good cooking.

Great to have you back from your jury duties Julie :-*

Seeing these cheered me up on my walk this morning with Chance.More rain here today, possibly a reprieve tomorrow for one day, then more rain next week :-))

Good to have you back Julie.  You surprised me when you said you were paid well.  I thought you only got $20 per day.  Glad it's gone up!

CC, my favourites - fox gloves, love them!

Thanks Trudy.  Yes $20 for attending and $130 per day for travel and inconvenience; so $150 per day.  My car is very light on petrol too so that was a win also. :)

Thank you Cornish, gorgeous flowers.  :D

You were lucky to have finished your month already Julie, now your life can return to normal. Your payment for travel is much better in the country because of the distance. I did it many, many years ago and it was $20 then + travel expenses but that was very little. I am surprised that the basic daily payment hasn't changed in all this time but in your case you certainly received enough to spoil yourself for your efforts and so you should.

You see so many lovely things on your early morning walks Denise.

I'm glad it was a good experience Julie. DD did it not long ago and was given her train fare each day she attended.

Morning all.
Well done Julie.
CC, lovely Foxglove , very English.
Cold but no rain today. Yesterday planted out 8 pots of plants for colour and 1 bay tree.
Put new chooks in with old ones last night. Will be interested to see how they all get along. Ral has made an extra perch and ladder for them.

Good morning from me too.  Not a lovely day here, very overcast and quite cold.  Went for my walk at my usual time this morning but it was still very dark because of the cloud cover, was quite spooky.  After a hot shower, made some porridge and am having trouble getting going now ;D

Seems we did okay with our payments here, certainly not complaining.  On Thursday morning I had to do the trip when it was thundering and lightening with quite heavy rain, now that was stressful.  :o

I've enjoyed my spending Judy, back to the norm now.  ;D

Hope the chooks get on Chookie  :D

It's just started raining here now. ( nearly 5pm). I decided to go out and pick some roses before the rain ruined them.

It's amazing what we can find spooky Julie. Years ago I got quite spooked driving home to the farm ( before I was married) on a part of the road I knew like the back of my hand.   I was imagining all sorts of things.
