Great news INAID, back to using it now.  Did they say what was wrong with the one you returned, I doubt it.

Thankyou all. I still don't have enough energy to do anything with it. But it is a complete replacement :) no Judy no word as to what was wrong. I think they just would have sent it back to Philip's. Get yours Sent Jam :) where are you? I'm on Cairns and it took probably 2.5-3 weeks.

Just out of interest, did they reimburse postage???

The sides of the basket do  get a bit greasy even after washing. I spray with miracle spray, leave it for 5 mins or so, and then use a scrubber/mitt to clean it.

Does anyone know if the filter on the back of the Philips Airfryer can be / should be cleaned or replaced?

surely it should be at least  washed/rinsed to stay effective.

(i'm thinking about for example, my range hood extractors needing a 6 monthly washing, so therefore filters like the one on the back of the Airfryer should also.

thanks!!!

I'm blaming all of you for this - I've just ordered my AF

Your bad, your all bad (but your food looks soooo good)

I love chips but DH doesn't eat carbs so putting on my oven which takes 20 mins to heat up to cook one potato is pointless.
I do the best I can

Yvette, I'm sure Kay is talking about this one.

Peleep, food for thought with your question. I have written to Philips to see if they can give any information on this.

I ended up ringing Philips re cleaning the filter.  With the technology they use, there is no filter in there as such, just a vent which you wipe over from the outside. He said to just clean the outside and the heating coil with a soft, moist cloth.  I also asked him about any accessories planned in the future for this model and as far as he knows they are only looking at the double layer rack sometime this year.  Any new accessories will be announced on their website when it happens.
