s
I am so happy as GD 2 who was severely allergic to dairy had tests done yesterday at hospital and is now able to eat anything with baked dairy eg cakes, cookies, bread. What a relief as now we don't need to worry about other kids giving her their snacks  ;D

that is great, mf...how did it come about? My miss4 is forever asking us to 'fix' her so she can have dairy....
:D

Great result MF. Astarra poor Miss 4.
My great nephew is about 9 and he was severely allergic to a couple of things including dairy and he is slowly growing out of it. He will be thrilled when he doesn't have to carry an epi pen.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Thanks ladies it is the best news.
Astarra she has been having specialist appointments every 6 months and my DIL who is a scientist had discussed with him testing her to see if there has been any improvement. Yesterday she was at the specialist  and was given some food containing baked milk products and he tested her and there was no reaction so it safe for her to have cookies, biscuits, cake, bread  etc but no milk or cheese yet.She will do a milk challenge next time to see if her tolerance to that has improved. She still has her epi pen but its a huge step forward.

Fascinating stuff. How we grow out of things etc. Maybe she will grow out of it all together? Is it, that as you mature, the immune system matures too? My DD grew into ceoliac's disease - no problem until she turned 22.

Funny you should say that as my eldest DD who is 35 grew into coeliac's about 3 years ago and never had a problem before then.
Hopefully Sophie will grow out of her dairy allergy and yes maybe the immune system matures in early childhood. It's scary when they have to be rushed to hospital when the swelling starts. Very fortunate to have epi pens nowadays. I honestly don't remember anyone having food allergies when I was growing up. They seem to be much more prevalent these days.
