Thanks girls, I was so excited by the news earlier that I felt sick  :-))   I've settled down now though and looking forward to this happening from the 9th January.

I'm happy to get this much Robyn, it will make a big difference.  He did tell me to get in touch if I found it wasn't enough down the track.  A friend of my SIL has told her Geoff should be put in a nursing home - Geoff would be happy she isn't his wife ;D

Thanks again everyone.  It's been a long, hard road to get it.  The last time this man was in our house he told me they couldn't help us until I did my back in  >:(   It took some advice given to him by an Occupational Therapist from the MS Society for him to change his mind but even then he waited until I rang him - he didn't make contact with me yet he had known about our current needs for a couple of months.

Just received the best phone call - Disability Services have agreed to supply us with a shower person 3 times a week and a sitter for 3 hours a fortnight to enable me to get out and do some jobs or just meet a friend for lunch  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Happy, happy, happy Judy.

Great news JD :). I found when I needed them with our special needs foster child, you had to push & push, worth the effort though :). They have budget, if you push.

Judy should this guy really have his job.

The funding is there, if you know where to look or push. :)

Geoff is much better at home with you, and a bit of help. Which is what you are entitled too, and need.

If you need more help, I would tell him.
