Hally, what a lovely gift from your neighbour.  I love crystal but it rarely gets used these days. My oldest piece is a 46 year old bowl  -given to me when I left my job to have my first daughter. Mum has no crystal to pass down - if she did, it would have already been given as she has no use for things like that now.

We went to a friends place for dinner a while back and she put her potato salad in a crystal bowl and it looked really good

Yes shes lovely, she has a huge cabinet of crystal so I will probably get more. They are the olds I cook for :) no kids.

Tonight roast chicken with a herbed butter compound under the skin :P cauliflower cheese, asparagus & other veg :)

KFC chicken here, along with mashed spuds, corn cobs, carrots and zucchini. Yum.

Definitely easier this time now that I have the KFC spice mix already made up!
