Hi!

I am so glad to realise my membership has been approved - I have tried several recipes from this forum and now I can post my experiences with them.

We purchased our TM a couple of weeks ago and are still using it several times each day. Our youngest child has multiple food intolerances: dairy, salycilates, preservative 282 and 380 that we know about. We eat mostly failsafe meals at home from the RPA's friendly food cook book. Though I have modified some recipes on here and from the TM every day cook book to make them failsafe and dairy-free.

Am looking forward to being able to post here. This site is a fantastic resource!

PS if there are any other failsafers out there I would especially love to hear your recipes.

FAILSAFE and Dairy-free cooking is so much easier with a Thermomix!

I just read another intro today who is following Failsafe.

When I first read the word 'failsafe' I thought it meant that whatever you cooked worked perfectly ::) ::) ::) as I had never heard of that term before. I now realise just how important it is to those with intolerances and allergies to food.  What an awful problem to have but it seems to be more and more people are like this these days.  I will certainly give your chicken risotto a go though - the pear juice sounds interesting.  What a great job you 'special cook' mothers do to give your children as normal a life as possible. Must be hard when they go to parties etc

does the pear juice make it sweet? i'm not sure i could do sweet risotto! (except for dessert lol)

surprisingly the pear juice doesn't make it sweet - acts more like a stock and takes on the flavour of other ingredients but gives it a "depth" iykwim...

judy - i wish my cooking always worked - we had mashed fried rice tonight by accident :)

LOL - all I can think of is "what would Bron do... Icecream!" LOL!!!  ;D :D :D :D ;)

Ralo, Bron seems to turn most of her disasters (at least dessert disasters anyway) into icecream.... not sure how fried rice would go though....   I think she is very clever doing that - I would never have thought that up.

fried rice ice cream - sounds like something from Enid Blighton...

No, we just ate mushy fried rice - at least I didn't have to mash it for the baby. No one complained - I think I had a harder time with it than anyone else :)

Soup! I would have made it into soup, with some THX chicken and vegetable stock concentrate and some chopped parsley and chives on top! Nobody would have even noticed! ;) ;) ;)
