I hope you got some good ideas at the design show Denise, the best place to see everything you need when starting from scratch. Ivy is a terrible plant to get rid of, you certainly deserve that cuppa.

Our Probus birthday party is almost here again, I can’t believe how quickly it comes around. I’m in  charge of the catering this year, not a lot of home cooking to do as I’ve been given the nod to go Costco shopping as it is our 30th birthday. I’ve only made jelly cakes and a choc/fruit slice to add a bit of variety to what I can pick up at Costco. My list is quite long and I check it daily to see if there is anything I can do to cross off that list before the big day on the 18th. The contents of 2
party item tubs have been checked and champagne flutes washed, my gardener has picked up 3 bottles of French Champagne for me, I have bought all the pastries when on special but will be doing my major shop the day before the party. One member who lives nearby will come around to help make up the meat platters that same afternoon.

Cookie, I hope you feel better soon.

Judy you will be busy.

I've still got hayfever, I thought it may be a cold but I feel ok. Time will tell. All the smoke  around the city and strong easterly winds don't help.

Cookie, that is not nice.  Hope you are better soon.

Yes I do enjoy it cookie, entertaining is something I have missed over the past 5 years. Most of the ladies are past the age of being able to do much and are happy for the younger ones to do these things. Then there’s the setting up at the hall but members do hop in and help out on the day.

Yes,but plenty of help. 15 year old GD will be here all day and is a great help.
CC, I see that they names the new Royal baby after your Louis.   Their Birthdays are also very close.

I bet Louis was happy about that Denise.  I was hoping they definitely wouldn’t go with Arthur so I was pleased with their choice.

GD is going to be a chip off the old block then Chookie, have a great day.
