i am looking for the recipe for the varoma demo steamed lemon and coconut puddings with citrus syrup, can anyone please help ?
-
When you host a Varoma demo your consultant will give you a set of cards with all of the recipes.
-
Hi Anna, welcome to the forum. Did you have a varoma demo or go to one?
-
Welcome to the forum Anna.
-
I have it, PM me your email address and I'll send it to you. It's scanned, so I don't think I can post it.
-
thank you for all your welcoms and replies, i do now have a copy of the recipe thank you ... i had a varoma demo last week and my lovely consultant is sending me a copy of the recipe, but i was going on a picnic today and wanted to make these delicious steamed cupcakes to take with me, im so happy i got to do it and they went down a treat, thank you again your all very kind and generous, and im so happy to be a part of this forum with a lovely group of people so willing to help :)

Those puddings are delish!
My friend had a varoma demo yesterday, and I was really glad I went along to another one :)
The consultant was fantastic! and it was really enjoyable. She passed on lots of food advice and tips for where to buy/storing etc. You could tell she loves what she does, and that really shone through the demo.

I found this recipe on Facebook.

This link is no longer there unfortunately
-
Thanks for this link CC - I was about to scan the recipe for a friend of mine who has not yet had the varoma demo which is when I received the recipe card for this delish dessert!!!!!!! :) :) :) I will tell her she received it via UK :D :D
-
well researched CC, love having something lemony after a meal, or anything sweet i should possibly add. my neighbour gave me a bag of lemons over the fence the other day, and I said if he ever had excess just put them on the fence and we promptly remove. it will be good if he does this cos they are 95c ea in the supermarket, and I have to buy them regularly - kills me to think there are so many lemon trees nearby producing more than the household can consume
-
lucky you live i a climate where you can grow lemons..cant here or well you can but has to stay in a very large pot and has to be moved indoors or in a greenhouse in winter or it will die...snif...would love to have a lemon tree in my garden...a hhh maybe one day on another move to perhaps another country a little warmer!
-
Has anyone tried making these with passionfruit instead of lemon? Thinking of trying it for dessert tonight.
thanks
DG :-*
-
Oooo...these sound nice. Could i also have the recipe? The facebook link doesn't work.
What do they show you in varoma demo?
-
I copied this off Quirky Jo's blog (http://quirkycooking.blogspot.com/2012/01/thermomix-menu-plans-2nd-january-and.html) for you Tasty
Varoma demo - if you've never been to a Varoma demo, the menu is: Fruity dream; pizza bianca; sun-dried tomato & red capsicum dip; dressing made from some of the dip; creamy chickpea and vegetable soup which cooks in the bowl while pumpkin, chicken & couscous (or quinoa) steam on top in the Varoma; warm chicken, pumpkin & couscous (or quinoa) salad, either Italian style or Moroccan style; and steamed lemon & coconut puddings with citrus syrup... deeeelicious!!

I had my varoma demo today. My consultant is sending me the cards as she forgot to bring them. My daughter wants me to make this for her again tonight as she loved it. Can someone please pm me the recipe as I have half a can of coconut milk still to be used. Thanks
-
I have been umming and arrring about having a Varoma demo as I think I use it quite well but love the sound of the recipes they make. I also don't want to waste my consultants time if no one is planning to buy a TMX. Buuuutttt, I think I will have one soon anyway.
I would also love the recipe for the lemon coconut steamed puddings too if someone is willing to type up.
-
It WAS on Tenina's website at one stage ;) ;)
-
I went there looking for it too Kathryn - someone must have asked her to remove it ;)
-
Are all the recipes from the demo in the Steam Ahead book??
-
I don't know what the full Varoma demo is as I've never had one Tasty but the lemon coconut steamed pudding isn't in Full Steam Ahead.
-
Are all the recipes from the demo in the Steam Ahead book??
Unfortunately no, that is why the hosts get given a set of recipe cards
-
I would also love the recipe for the lemon coconut steamed puddings too if someone is willing to type up.
tasty do u still need a copy of the recipe?
-
I'd like to see the recipe as well. It does gall me a bit that you have to have a demo to get a recipe! I'm not interested in a demo (had enough trouble getting people together for the original 'sales' demo) and am frustrated that some things including books or thermoservers are only available at demos. I really can't see the point in such restrictive sales practices ???
-
so it gives you the s**ts ;D, me 2
sorry the last pic should have been 1st
-
Uni thanks so much 😄
-
Thanks uni! I'm another who hasn't had the demo but wants this recipe!
-
I found the recipe for the Warm Chicken Salad with Pumpkin and Couscous (http://www.thermomix-recipes.com/2011/10/thermomix-warm-chicken-salad-with.html) ;D
-
Thanks for that CC - I've always wondered what the salad was like as so many people have raved about it.
I'll have a go at making it IF we ever get our summer back :D :D
-
I'm agreeing with you about the sales of books etc. I'm sure they must miss out on lots of sales if you can only buy them or get them for free after having a demo. I had enough trouble getting people to my first demo, not because they didn't like the Thermomix but because of the price of it. My friends are not in the same position as me to be able to afford the machine, so now I'm restricted to what I can buy. I am now upset to hear that you can't buy The Best of The Recipe Community cookbook. Disappointed that the people who support Thermomix and have bought a machine are basically been held to ransom... Have a party or miss out!!
-
Thanks for doing that Fundj, much appreciated. :D
-
Thanks so much Uni - you're the best!!
-
ur welcome ;D
-
Thank you so much, you have a heart of gold:)).
-
Thanks for doing that Fundj, much appreciated. :D
Ditto from me as well ;D
Unfortunately it is the downside to direct selling and while I understand it is a necessary way to spread the word about TMX, I don't agree that someone who has spent almost $2K on a machine should be forced into having another demo to receive recipes etc.
-
You are not alone in that thought knittercook.
-
Thanks so much for that Fundj, it's greatly appreciated!!
I hosted a Varoma demo recently, but wasn't given any of the recipes by my consultant. I might email her to see if I can get the cards.
Thanks again!
-
i will see if i can sneak in to franks office on the weekend and scan the recipe cards for whoever needs them.
-
oh goodie def interested fundj ;D
-
You will find the recipe here (http://www.thermomix-recipes.com/2011/10/thermomix-warm-chicken-salad-with.html) ladies and gents ;) ;)
-

-

-

I've made these today. I used 8 Alyce Alexandra silicone moulds and 2 Nestle ones which are obviously slightly bigger than what was intended in the recipe as I had to steam them in 2 lots. Mine were too high to have in the tray, so instead I cooked 5 in the dish and once they were done, topped up the water in the bowl and did the other 5. I put some kitchen paper pulled tight under the Varoma lid which kept off any drips. The cooking time stated was perfect for these sized cakes.
Of course I had to taste test one after taking the photo and I think they are delicious! My plan is to freeze them individually for those times when you feel like something nice to finish off a meal. I'm even going to freeze the syrup in 1tbs amounts. ;D

I picked up this (http://www.quirkycooking.com.au/2012/07/almond-lemon-coconut-steamed-puddings-grain-free-dairy-free/) recipe off Quirky Jo's blog today, is it (more or less) the same?
-
Not really Cuildidh. I could email you the recipe if you like. It was given to me by a lovely lady on here and I don't think she will mind at all.
If you'd like it, send me your email address via PM and I will send it on.
Thankyou for your comments Cornish and Cookie. :D
