Welcome to the forum Melinda  :)
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I just have a padded base, no foam piece?  I'm going to a demo next weekend so plan to ask the Consultant about it.

I'm really hoping I didn't throw out the foam piece thinking it was just packaging, I don't remember!

Melinda the thermomix doesn't go on it's side in the carry bag. It sits up the right way. There should be 3 empty parts ( sort of) in the base where the legs of the thermomix go. This is to keep the scales happy. I'd photograph mine but it is in the van and that is all tucked up and hard to get to. ( through DH's shed!)
My bag actually has a foam base but they may have changed. It is inside the bag.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Here's a picture of mine with a piece of plastic with foam underneath...the plastic piece sits in the bottom of the bag and TMX sits on top. The cut outs are where the feet go and this takes the pressure off them...hope it makes sense.
-I could be completely wrong...I too didn't get instructions and this is the only way I could work it out.

They definitely should.  Just a simple diagram would be enough.

Thanks everyone, for clearing up the confusion!   :D  Much appreciated!

Thanks Obbie,

Love your list of kitchen appliances in your signature.  I've got the Tmx, Kitchen Aid and pizza stone, plus a million other gadgets and tools - wouldn't want to be without any of them!
