Recipe Review - Focaccia New EDC
« on: December 14, 2013, 11:48:00 am »
Simple bread made in under 2hrs. I used 300g water and brushed top with garlic oil and used rosemary instead of thyme. I also poked holes in with my fingers before I baked it. Will make again.

It's basically the same Hally but says 350-400 g water, only slightly different in method but with clearer instructions.

It does look great. It's wonderful to see photos of recipes from the EDC, it actually inspires me to try them whereas without a photo I would just skip over the recipe.

That's exactly why recipe books should have photos of everything Chocolatte.  You have to see a photo to know you'll like a recipe, it's hard to imagine some recipes in your mind.

It annoys me that they haven't got a lot of photos in the new EDC. There're quite a few pages with white space where a photo could have been placed.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
