keen to try this, love shepherds pie. I will cook my potato on the stove top as DH doesn't like TMX mash.

I loved this recipe! I tried it for the first time last night and it came out well to my suprise.  i was a little worried that it was going to be too runny but it was just nice and moist by the time it came out of the oven. I also made mine with a 1/3 sweet potato, 2/3 potato top and put them in a crust to cook which turned out rather nicely.  I also tried some zucchini chutney instead of the fruit chutney.

I made this tonight and it was fantastic. I've had a few fails recently but tonight was a winner......and there's enough left over for tomorrow night  :)

This will definitely be a regular on our menu  :)

Good news. It's disheartening when you have a couple of failures.

I'm really pleased that you enjoyed it and want to make again. Tomorrow you will enjoy it more cos you can sit back more, and the flavours will have developed overnight.
