I dried some strawberries in my AF today. The instructions said to put them on paper but it kept blowing around and I was worried it would catch fire. I ended up putting them directly onto the base of the AF. 70* for about 1 hour. They are only semi dried and I will use them in some muffins tomorrow. They have a very intense flavour now.

Cookie that's a great idea.  I suppose that you could do the same with tomatoes when they are in season.

I am going to make some muffins using the semi dried strawberries. They have to be used within a couplie of days. I also have a Classic loaf rising and the starter growing for my rye SD.

Yesterday I made a big dish of veggies covered with a cheesy leek white sauce which had great reviews https://www.bestrecipes.com.au/recipes/vegetable-bake-cheese-sauce-recipe/lssfywgu

Today I had to use up a 700g bag of cauli so made 2 x 2 serves of cauli soup using different recipes with one lot and added lots of other veg to make a tomato based veggie soup with the rest.

I cooked the rye SD today. It took ages to rise.
The dried strawberry and almond muffins were nice. I stole one.

I tried something different with my rye SD. After kneading it I put it directly into the tin it was to be cooked in. It spent overnight in the fridge and I took it out to finish rising today.
Excuse the cutting but I used a blunt knife!

The girls will love you to bits Chookie.
Today I made your Diabetic bread from your blog. http://achookwoman.blogspot.com/

Being me I did make a small change. I didn’t have any quinoa (I don’t know where it went) so I used rolled oats.  After I had milled those I removed them from the bowl and put the yeast and water in and heated it to 40* I then added everything back in.
It’s such a lovely soft bread and I really like the flavour….too much I think. I will definitely be making it lots more. A big thank you.

My tin was about 1cm shorter than yours.

Well done Cookie.  I think you can fiddle with the added seeds. The degree to which you grind the seeds also makes a difference. I had a thin slice as toast with scrambled egg for breakfast.
