Name of Recipe:Pork with Beer Casserole
Number of People: 4-6
Ingredients:
1 clove garlic
1 onion
1 small chili (or added a small teaspoon of dried chili flakes - or to your taste)
300-500g meat
3 tablespoons plain flour
20g olive oil
Vegetables (I used 1 red capsicum, 2 sticks celery, handful green beans, 2 carrots - but whatever you have to hand)
Tin of chopped tomatoes
1 bottle of beer
2 tbsp worcester sauce
1 tbsp mixed herbs (dried or you could use fresh and put them in at the beginning, I was making this up as I went and hadn't put any in earlier so used dried)
2 bay leaves

Preparation:
Chop garlic, onion, chili - speed 6 - 5 sec (and fresh herbs if using)
Add meat and flour
Add oil and saute 2min 100degrees, reverse, speed soft
Add vegetables, tin of tomatoes, worcester sauce, mixed herbs, bay leaves and beer.
Cook 60 mins, 100 degrees, reverse, speed soft.

Photos:

Excuse the photo, most had been eaten before I got around to taking it, lol.

Tips/Hints:
You could use beef or any meat you wanted, I just had pork out. And any vegetables you choose.

I served it with rice.

This was the most popular meal I've made in awhile. Everyone had seconds and have asked for it again. (usually hard to appeal to all the kids, lol)

Introduce Yourself / Saying hello from Zan

Today I finally got my Thermomix!
After a lot of thought, saving, deliberation and research I'm very happy with my purchase. (don't ask how many hours I have clocked up on this forum already! but I have a lovely list of recipes to try and loads of tips and hints - thanks so much everyone!! I really appreciate it.)
I didn't expect to get her until tomorrow or Monday so wasn't very well prepared meal wise but I did manage mashed potato and steamed carrots (with the original dinner plan of crab cakes already prepared) followed by vanilla custard.
Looking forward to lots more cooking over the weekend.
I am (hopefullly) blogging what I am using the thermomix for at http://thermomixmeals.blogspot.com/, more than just recipes I hope to be able to create a blog that show the day to day use of the Thermomix.
I'm a WAHM from Sydney with three little girls and I'm looking forward to creating more 'from scratch' foods for them.
I already know a couple of people here (Carrie, snoozie :-) ) and feel like I know a few more very well from reading.
