Title: Sweet Chilli and Ginger Glazed Chicken

This is quick and easy as long as you remember to marinate the chicken.
Sweet Chilli and Ginger Glazed Chicken
Serves 4
Ingredients
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup sweet chilli sauce
2 tablespoons kecap manis
2cm piece of ginger, peeled and grated
4 chicken breasts
1/3 cup plain flour
oil
Preparation
Place lemon juice, sweet chilli sauce, kecap manis, and ginger into bowl.
Give a quick wiz on speed 3 to mix.
Pour our onto chicken, turn chicken to coat.
Refrigerate for 3 hours.
Drain chicken, reserving the marinade.
Lightly coat the chicken in flour, shaking off excess.
Heat oil in a non stick pan and add chicken. Cook about 4 mins each side until almost cooked through.
Reduce heat to low and add reserved marinade.
Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, turning occasionally, or until sauce has thickened.

I took the idea for this from a magazine but forgot to write down which it was. I have adapted it for thermomix.

This sounds really yummy, but it's too late for me to do the marinating right now for tonight, so I'll keep it in mind for another meal this week if I can manage it!

Ketjap manis is a thick, sweet, rich, syrupy Indonesian version of soy sauce containing sugar and spices.
Most of our major UK supermarkets sell it past94x or the Asian stores that are around.

I made this tonight after making the sweet chilli sauce from the forum.  (Sorry, don't know how to link). It was so good that everyone cleared their plates and wanted more. I didn't have kecap manis so substituted 2 tbs soy sauce plus 3 tsp brown sugar. Thanks for the recipe, it is on the make again and again list.
