Even though I don't eat meat your meals always look so delicious that I am tempted in trying them Julie!
Tonight I cooked Tenina's stuffed and steamed chicken rolls from FFS
The chicken steamed for 30 minutes and turned out a little dry (that's what miss 9 said) so next time I will steam for 25 minutes only.
Salad was red and white cabbage with a carrot chucked into TM with salt/pepper/oil and vinegar chopped for 5 seconds on speed 4. Gotta love MR T salads!!!
For me, I had pasta with left over pesto...yum.
Also made my triple choc muffin tops for morning tea tomorrow

Oh Maddy, your dad sounds great. My mum was German, and so I was brought up on all those lovely foods. We have a small smoker that you can smoke small amounts of fish in, which we do now and then and smoked eel (which I buy) is great, and funny talking about rollmops, I have a few fish fillets in the fridge right now, soaking in salt water ready to make a batch from a recipe I found in the paper quite a while ago and kept. Hope they work out.

Well hopefully it will be roast pork.I've had a frozen piece sitting in the refrigerator since yesterday morning to defrost but it's still rock hard
So it's had it's first installment of defrost in the microwave.Round two later after it's rested.

Kerryn, in the new The Best of our Communities Cookbook ther is a recipe for Kangaroo Meatballs with spaghetti from Bronwyn Gavlik an Aussie contributor. Kangaroo is a great meat for a nice red sauce.

Hi Gert,
Where would I find that cookbook? I just did a quick google search and came up empty.
We like Roo in our house, not the least reasons are the lower cost and lesser environmental impact compared to beef.
And who doesn't like a new cookbook?

I was brought up on kangaroo patties, yum. I want DH to go out and get a few for me. We need to buy a good mincer though to mince the roo meat. To sinewy for the TM to deal with.

Dede first mentioned it on the forum and Helene at superkitchenmachine.com has just had a contest for a freebie for it. I think Quirky Jo has mentioned it as well so maybe your consultants knows more. It was also mentioned on the UK. Thermomix site. No doubt HO will make it hard to acquire for whatever reason but in any case all the recipes are already on the web. You can find the kangaroo meatball recipe on the Australian Thermomix web site I am sure. In any case you don't need one as you have your spag bol recipe.
The Spainish and Germans are talking about it and I saw one mention somewhere of the Polish talking about it. It isn't a secret.

Kerryn - here's the recipe (I hope!) http://www.recipecommunity.com.au/node/17291
It's a new TMX book that I think hasn't been released yet. It's a collection of the Best of the Community website . . and Gert has a recipe in it if I remember correctly from previous discussions on the forum
. . . just found it . .
