I read "The Things We Keep" by Sally Hepworth the other day, and it was wonderful. I'm reading "If She Did It" by Jessica Treadway now. It's good, but not such a riveting page turner.

I have just finished reading Rachael Joyce's The Love Story of Queenie Hennessy and really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the first one a little more, but I'm glad I eventually read this too.

Cookie, I loved the Dana Stabenow series of Alaskan books. I'm avidly waiting for her to write the next one in the series,  as  she's taken a break to write another trilogy and she left the series with a cliffhanger ending.
I'm trying to read the Dressmaker, but finding it a difficult read. I've been sidetracked by the Duncan Kincaid/Gemma Jones series by Deborah Crombie which is on my iPad. We lost the power at 6.30 pm the other night and it didn't come back on until 1.20am!

I've finally finished The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window. Some friends have just started or first book club through CAE and our first book is Instructions for a Heatwave. Timely choice given the weather. I haven't felt pressure to read a novel since high school...so in high school style I'm leaving it till the last minute to start :)

I didn't finish the 100 Year Old Man............. I just couldn't get into it. I have just finished Loretta Hill's new book The Grass is Greener. I really enjoyed it. It's a very light romance set in Yallingup. (WA). I think I had better read my book club book next.

It was hard to get into and seemed to go all over the place. I missed the point of how the story was tied together as it was so long between reads for me. I would almost like to read it again to appreciate it, but there are other books I want to read more!

I agree. I'm glad I've read it, and now that I've read both, I wouldn't mind going back again to reread it, but I have many others I'd rather spend the time on.

I have started reading 'The Martian' on my kindle app.. Love reading hard back but this is for a change so that I dont have to carry it around and can read it any time on my phone. It is interesting so far, just read 25 pages :D

And also reading a short story book called, 'Wise and Otherwise' which is also good, the author has written stories from her own life and is a nice read :)

I've just started Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. It seems as though it will be a good read.

I enjoyed that troupie. I have her last two books sitting here waiting to be read. I enjoyed Maralinga by her.

I finished Susan Duncan's Gone Fishing yesterday and enjoyed it.  It's a follow on from her Briny Cafe which I also enjoyed.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
