So many books I search for on kindle say currently unavailable. So annoying! Both Gone girl and the husbands secret.

Every now and again, you come across a book that you really enjoy. A book that leaves you feeling good inside, that is funny and poignant and well written. A book that you want all your friends to read too, so that they can share the magic of the book. For me, this book is "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio.

My MIL lent me this book, and she wrote me the following note inside the cover: "Reading this book is like watching a feel-good film and, if you don't get a tear in your eye at the end, I'll be surprised"

Haven't read a book for ages. So happy to get time during our short getaway to just read. Finished The Black Box by Michael Connelly within 2 days. Love Harry Bosch :)

Hally, I've read most of the older Harry Bosch books. Michael Connelly is such a brilliant author. Was quite sad when I finished all his books a few years ago. Glad that Harry is back :)

Errr, did you have a helpful hand in its purchase Judy?

I had book club tonight. I really enjoyed The Purple Hibiscus but was the only person that did. Our next book is The Elegance of the Hedgehog. I might read something else before I read that. I got Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris from the library. I have read a bit of it and it seems good. DD and I are going to listen to him when he comes to Perth toward the end of the month.

I've read The Elegance cookie. Not the most exciting book, sort of plods along like a hedgehog possibly, but like a lot of foreign films and quite realistic.

Hope you both enjoy Wonder.
I loved Elegance of a Hedgehog, but I lent it to some of my friends and they couldn't get into it. It's not an easy read, but is enjoyed it.

I've just finished Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver at the moment.  Its been around for several years, but somehow I missed it, and thoroughly enjpyed it.  I gave it to DH to read (who usually onlyl reads military history books), and he is enjoying it too.  So much so, that he went to the library yesterday and borrowed Lacuna by the same author for me  ;D

ES, sounds like "Wonder" will have to be added to the reading list too.  Thanks for the recommendation!
