That's nice that she chose to spend some of her special day with you Denise.

I did the shopping this morning, came home and put the air con on. Put the washing out, sat for a read and hey presto another Nanna nap.

I'm moving my girls into their own bedrooms. We're shuffling four rooms around. Ours will become the spare room/office. The spare room is going to one of them, and the office is going to the other. We're moving into the biggest room which we gave up a few years ago to give them more space. It's been two days of shuffling and probably another two more at least to finish off.

That sounds like a lot of work Sarah, I hope you'll all be happy with your new spaces.

I'm sure all the shuffling will make it seem like a new home Sarah.

We went visiting this morning. In 1948 my parents invited an English couple fresh out from UK to go and work on his farm. This couple had a son and daughter. The people we visited are the son and his wife. He was telling me he will be 80 this year. All the rest of his family have gone to heaven so he looks upon my brothers and myself as family. He is a lovely person as is his wife.

How lovely that you stay in touch cookie.

I had the grandies for 5 hours today, we played a couple of games of kids' monopoly and I got beaten on both occasions. Took them to the Semaphore carnival on the foreshore then had lunch, firstly in Subway for the kids, fish & chips to share and an ice-cream before walking onto Morpeth.  Mum and Geoff were delighted to see the kids and everyone commented on how they've grown.  They wanted to watch their Nana play bingo so stood behind her watching for 2 games and she won both!!  They both commented on the way home that today was their best visit ever there.  I could not have asked for a more perfect day, they scored 10/10 today which always surprises their Mother!

Thanks Denise, they're making me look shorter very quickly these days.  What's guaranteed to get the attention of people in nursing homes? Children and dogs.

I think the people in nursing homes enjoy seeing children as you say Judy. Possibly many don't see younger children.

Agreed, the Nursing home residents love to see the kids, especially the babies, and sad to say it doesn't happen often enough.
