Ooh I do like the sound of this one isi. I love the creamed rice in our EDC but this would be completely different and is on my list of things to do today perhaps.

Disappointing isn't it Cathy - makes you wonder if these recipes are even tested.
Today I made 4 pizzas, a batch of lemonade and chicken/rice balls. Had a good clearout of the freezer for the pizzas - I'd say 8 little bags of bits and pieces were used up. I only had to buy a tub of bocconcini for 2 of the pizzas.

Hi bellesy welcome to the forum. It works everytime - have your DH at a demo and you will end up with a TMX. I guess getting them there is the hardest thing but so much easier if the demo is in your own home. I was scared stiff of mine when I took delivery but it is just second nature using it now. You will get a lot of use out of your thermoserver - they are very handy indeed. Please do get back to us and let us know how you are getting on with your TMX and what you have been cooking - everyone is interested hearing from newcomers. Afterall, we were all newcomers once.

Hi ozzy-dj, welcome to the forum. Like you, I bought my TMX with main meals in mind. I like desserts but they last so long in this house with just me eating them - DH is not a sweet lover and only eats them if we have visitors for some reason. Lots of other things to make though which I have never attempted before like bread, jams etc. and I always make sure I have some sort of cake or muffin in the freezer for visitors. Everything is so easy to make you will find yourself doing things just for the fun of it. Sharing is what this forum is all about - it is a very happy, friendly group of people.

Hi So Blessed - nice to see another Adelaidean on the forum. Our numbers are slowly growing. You will be kept very busy browsing this forum whilst you wait for your TMX. Have fun when you get it and let us know how you are progressing.

It was the only cake my mum used to make! I've also done it in cans Thermomixer and still have them sitting in the back of the cupboard. Memories - isn't it nice that us oldies can share these times with each other. I sometimes substitute the sultanas for chopped apricots or dates Cookie1. Nice sliced and buttered but I haven't done them for years now.

Did he take her to the cleaners Chelsea? I certainly wouldn't cook up 1/2 cup of a vegie to puree and add to her recipes but it could be done quite simply by making sure you had some leftovers. There are some nice recipes there which I intend doing for DH & myself - and we eat any vegie!! Of course, she cooks, purees and freezes vegies so only has to pull out a packet when needed. Is this where the chickpea and choc chic cookies came from? I saw that in there but didn't copy it because I already have done it from the forum.

This is not a TMX book but all mums who are having trouble getting their children to eat vegies should have this one. I went through it today whilst babysitting down at DD's place and have written out heaps of the recipes. It is called Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld, yes wife of the Seinfeld chap. They have hidden pureed vegies in them & would be so easy to convert, things like
rice balls with sweet potato scrambled eggs with cauli hot cocoa with sweet potato doughnuts with pumpkin & sweet potato carrot & spinach brownies carrot & cauli muffins lemon raspberry cupcakes with pumpkin & beetroot banana marshmallow dip with pumpkin blueberry cheesecake cupcakes with yellow squash & spinach choc fondue dip with avocado & carrot gingerbread spice cake with broccoli & carrot chocolate pudding with avocado choc cupcakes with avocado & cauliflower Choc peanut butter dip with carrot + more including main meals. I loved reading this book and applaud her methods of getting her children to eat things that are good for them without knowing it. It is going to take me forever to get through this list to convert, cook and post so if you are interested in these recipes I would suggest you get hold of this book somehow. Perhaps even see if the library has it and copy some out yourself. It is brilliant.
