I made up my daughter's name  - Ellia (pronounced Eleea). She also gets called Elli.
She is now 18 & I have since heard of another Ellia & a couple with different spellings  :)

there's a kid in my sons class called  ' sledge hammer '  they are miora
l had to ask the kid his name myself as l did not believe my son

How old is he, Nazar? Maybe it's his nickname, and he doesn't realise it's not his real name.

My cousin got separated from his mum in the supermarket when he was about three, and assured the lady who put out the message over the tannoy  that his name was "Bozo"!  :D

I used to work on a special baby care unit, and we once looked after premmie twin girls called Charlotte and Charlene Weed......they are both Miss C. Weed. I also worked with a Teresa Green. And a friend whose surname is Smith wanted to call her son Adam Rhys, but luckily thought better of it when she realised what his initials would be!

I like a lot of the Celtic names, such as Rhiannon, Megan (pronounced Meggan), Aislin (Ashling) and Angharad (Annharrad), but I didn't use them for my DD as I knew they would always be mispronounced, and that she would spend her life spelling them. Her name is Casey, and there are lots of ways to spell that too!  :D

I worked with a man whose name was Richard (call me Dick) Hunter.  ;) ;D

Hilarious. That just made me LOL!!!

There is a weather presenter in UK (I think he does the weather for Portsmouth/Southampton region) called Chris Peacock. Don't say it too fast!!!!!

That is too funny Brumington :D
I lived next door to a lovely lady whose name was Fay and the man she married was called Nev Fey so she became Fay Fey. How's that for random?
Also worked with a poor girl named Alisha Doggett
Forgot to say that Genessa (the Gen is pronounced Jen ) is a pretty name.

No matter what you call your baby astarra spell it the common way. For some reason my parents (actually mum) only put 1 "L" in Michele which is quite a popular spelling in America.

It became a problem when I went to sell our house once and the conveyancer had registered my name with 2 "LLs" with the land tittles office when we purchased and I had to prove that we were one and the same person  :-))

Mich, good point, it took me a while to realise that when the ladies on here called you "Michele" they weren't actually spelling your name wrong ;D

Astarra, pleased we could be of assistance! :D :D
Another couple that popped into my head...
Laura
Amanda

I'm sure whatever name you choose, it will be perfect for your bub ;)

Haha, funnily enough my DH thought my last name was King after he first met me.  We met through friends and his mate told him it was King and he didn't click that it was a joke!   :-)) LOL
Jo

When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.
