I made lemon chicken the other day with the sauce and chicken in the bowl. I browned the chicken slightly first, then threw it in and cooked it at the time suggested for general casseroles etc. It turned out just perfect with the chicken really tender.

Those birthday cakes are fantastic!
I have this cake in the oven now, I used some olive oil to replace some of the butter and some brown sugar to replace some of the raw sugar, I reduced the amount of sugar a bit too. Judging by the taste when I licked the spoon it should be great, thanks for an awesome quick recipe! Does it freeze well, if I cut it up in to individual portions?

Recipe Requests / Dinners and school snacks to freeze?
« on: February 05, 2011, 10:14:50 am »
I am going from part time to full time uni in a couple of weeks and I won't be able to cook as much every day as I do now. Does anyone here regulary cook meals and freeze them using their thermomix? What works well? I would love to be able to spend one day a week getting at least 3 meals in to the freezer as well as snacks for the kids for school. Any tried and true recipes would be very much appreciated.

This is really yum, thanks for the recipe, I had no capsicums left so just used a whole onion and it was delish. The kids did not eat it but they don't eat what I serve up half the time anyway, so meh, lol. It makes heaps too, so lots of leftovers for DH to take to work and me to have for lunch tomorrow. Thanks for posting it.

Even though I love it, and couldnt imagine life without the TMX now I agree, the price is a drawback. It puts a lot of people off. Thank goodness my DH didnt even question the price but others are not quite as forgiving I understand.

I agree, I think husbands need to see it in action, otherwise they just think you want to fork out 2 grand for a blender or something, lol. I know once my husband saw it he could not wait to buy one.

I would imagine that if there were any super famous people that owned a thermomix that it would be their personal chefs who used the forums and checked out recipes, rather than the stars themselves, hehe.

It's to hot here today to do much of anything, but this morning I made smoothies and porridge and then tahini which I added to the hommus that I made for DH to take to work, and I am just eating the leftovers of it now lol.

Today I made smoothies for the kids for breakie, vegetable juice for DH. Fruit roll ups, 2 lots of custard, lemon chicken with rice and bok choy, a loaf of bread, some butter and am going to make some chick pea choc chip cookies. I have only had my tmx a few days and I am seriously in love.
