Hi all,
Obviously I'm new here. I've had my thermie for about two weeks now. Love it!
I've been getting into health a lot more as I think I had Candida through eczema. I haven't had eczema since I was a kid and the thought of it again was horrifying me. I went to the dermatologist and well that was a waste of money. I read lots on the internet and figured it out by the symptoms I had. I've cut back my sugar intake and less wheat. I love wheat and am trying to work myself to a wheat free diet. I've since had no eczema.
I've looked at Jo's quirky cooking page all too many times. A true inspiration.
So hi everyone. ;D

I'm glad you have sorted your eczema out a bit, it must have been horrid.

It's wonderful that you were able to fix yourself. Too often people seem to think that the professionals know it all. Well done. You'll find the Thermomix a wonderful asset.
-
I and welcome, There were 3 thermos and consultants at Cairns central yesterday.
Welcome. :D
-
I have seen them there before Robyn and am not impressed with them using buckets of water from the floor . Not very professional though it s lovely to see them there trying. They need a properly set up kiosk.

They were outside coles, when we were going home,, no one looking at the demo though.
I wondered about how to rinse the bowls there... :o
-
That is where they usually are. Hardly think it is worth while for them as they just stand there most of the time doing not much.

Hello Cairns - was there being a tourist late 2010 palm cove for a week then on to Hamilton Island, Brisbane and beyond. Fabulous place to live. We miss the sun here in England - people only seem to smile when it's sunny which is infrequent at the moment.
-
Hi MrsB - and a very warm welcome to the forum! What you've worked out for yourself is very impressive! Look forward to hearing more from you as time goes on!

Sorry Misses T there is not much sun and smiles where you live but Spring is near and soon the flowers will bloom and make more people smile.

Welcome to the forums Mrs B.
I'm so glad to hear that Thermie has helped with your eczema.

Hi ;D
I didn't think anyone else would reply to this post and so I haven't looked at it again until now and wow it's on it's 2nd page!
I have never noticed anyone in cairns central selling thermies. I probably wouldn't have looked anyway because I'm always in a hurry to get out of there.
Those commenting on my eczema, I didn't really cure it myself or with thermie. It just so happened that I treated it with cream and it went away and I think my diet helped. That was before thermie. But I bought thermie to help with the healthy diet of less processed, preservative free, additive free and everything free (lol) eating. ;) but because I went and talked about it, I have since noticed some little spots coming back. How annoying...
It's good to see so many people from around the north. Obbie did you buy your thermie from Jo?
-
No, I bought it from another Jo, sight unseen, then she quit straight away.
Jo ( Quirky cooking) did my varoma demo. ( it took us 12 months though).
I have 2 thermo styles machines, so lots of cooking.
-
Hello, I too live in Cairns and have TOTALLY changed the way I eat since owning a Thermomix. If you ever want to catch up and swap ideas and recipes let me know. Cheers.

Animal999, I am interested to hear if you have been getting along better with your TMX since the first few disasters?
-

Wow two thermo machines... yes you must do a heap of cooking. Only hubby and I so I don't have to do that much cooking.
Where is your shop?
