Housework for most of this cooler day. I also need to fill the biscuit tin. I thought I may make some lamingtons as it's cooler and Australia Day is coming up.

I totally agree Marina. It's only 27 at the moment (10.45am) and I've done heaps of housework. It has been a bit neglected the last week or so.
Tonight's dinner is a meat pie. Something a bit different to stir fries and main meal salad.

Stay cool Chookie. Sorry we sent it over.

Chookie I feel disgusted with the Australian archives. Such valuable footage.
KAtie if it isn’t one thing on a farm it’s another. Our seas was earlier than yours so we had a good space between harvest and shearing. Have the teams been disbanded because of Covid?

We had a car run today. We took an air conditioned car as it is so hot. Most club members did. One member who owns Wooleen station in the Murchison
Came in his 1935 Rolls Royce. When he does this we call him The Squatter. His son runs the station now.

KAtie today was the sixth day over 40.  It is forecast to be 32 for 3 days and then heating up to 40 again by next weekend. 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

Our bread supply was dangerously low so I have made a rye SD, a Classic loaf and some No Fuss rolls for lunches for us.

Judy, I remember when an Uncle died. He didnít have any children and his wife had pre deceased him. He left his house and contents to my Dad. They were living on the farm still so we said we would clean it out. It really hurt to throw their photos away. We kept the ones where we knew people but the rest went to the tip.

A rolled roast. I will cook it in the Easy Cook out in the laundry so as not to heat the kitchen.

Your cooking looks delicious Margaret. I love jelly cakes. I made some Healthy Biscuits from Cookidoo yesterday. They were to put in the freezer but they didn't all get there. They are lovely.

I also made some White Peach jam from Chookie’s recipe on here.

A big job Judy. WE have a lot of photos of all our trips and slides from before then. I put them in albums after each trip. We also have a lot burnt to CD. The only trip I haven't put in an album is our Birdsville track one. One Day!
This morning I did some pickled vegetables for DH. They had been soaking over night.

My brother rang a while ago to say the bread rolls I made for them were evaporating!! I think he would like some more.

Chicken Fried Rice from RTE. Its another 40+ here today. I am truly sick of it. I believe it will be less than 40 on Sunday! 39 or something.. We are having a car run but have decided we won't take an old car-we will take one that is air conditioned.

An easy recipe and tasty. I made her tapenade too.

We added more tapenade when it was on our plates. The flavours went together well.

It's lovely Chookie. I nearly made it instead of the biscuits, but we prefer biscuits when its really hot.

Yummy. No cooking here as it's too hot.
Trudy I liked the North African bread flour. I made a loaf using only that and it was very fluffy and light. I also made some rolls for my brother and used 50g oatbran, 100g wholemeal flour and they were also very fluffy.

This is the Apricot Slice I made from Cookidoo. I didn’t have quite enough apricots so popped some dried apple in.
