I made half quantity of the apple mixture but did the full quantity of the meringue, who doesn’t like plenty of meringue!  An ideal quantity for 6 little dessert ramekins, I had a warm one for lunch as I couldn’t remember if they were nicer warm or cold. There was only one way to find out.

Ah, scientific experimentation, Judy.  Very wise.  I would guess that it is delicious whichever way you eat it!

Thanks Margaret, my taste buds aren’t good but at least it was easy to eat.
Marina, yes warm or cold made no difference to the taste - well not to me anyway. I’ve frozen the remaining 4 so that will be interesting to see if they thaw OK. Supermarkets sell lemon meringue pies frozen so I don’t think there will be a problem.
