We have had a couple of lovely days but it is warming up again. Not to 40 though.

Good morning everyone.  A beautiful Spring day here.

We had a gardener man come in yesterday to trim back all our Camellia trees.  He has been quite severe with them so don't expect to get many flowers next year.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

My husband is dangerous if he prunes anything! He trims at ground level, or fence level. Thank goodness we don’t have much garden here. Mainly roses.

Our neighbour just uses his chainsaw for all pruning!!!

Must be a man thing with pruning. RAL has a tiny chain saw on a long pole.  It can do a lot of damage.
Today we drove from Ballarat to the TMX workshop at Glen Waverley.  We met the nicest lass who immediately identified the problem with my machine.  The blades.  ( I thought it was the motor) .   She said you couldn’t expect more than 4 to 5 years from a set of blades. She said they would attend to the machine immediately and we could pick it up on Wednesday.
We have arrived at the Sofitel and are being thoroughly spoilt.  Can’t remember if it is our 3 rd or 4 th time here. They have given us complimentary tickets to NGV to “Civilization, the way we live now. We can use the Club lounge, which will be serving Canapés soon.

Good news about your thermomix Chookie. Enjoy being spoiled at the Sofitel. Have fun shopping too.

One year DH pruned the roses with his chainsaw, I was very cross, however they came back as good as new.

I noticed my dial was a little stiff to move yesterday and I put that down to maybe the blades but having 2 bowls I will soon be able to work it out if it happens again.

Love the stories about your DH’s with their chain saws ladies, no place for them in the garden with that piece of equipment unless they’re cutting down a tree.

Picked up TMX today.  Had a long discussion with workshop manager.  Told him I, and others wanted to put our own recipes on the software.  Do it through an internet connection. He said as it is a software issue it is possible but not at the moment as it is against company policy.  He can see it happening in the future.
They think they have solved the scales issue with the 5.  This would be good. We will see.
It cost just over $200 for the new blades and fixing the scales.  They couldn’t be more helpful.
We spent the rest of the day in Lygon Street. I resisted buying any more recipe books.  Bought a block of Parmesan from D.O.C.  Lovely shop.  The salads at King and Godfrey’s are amazing.  Will go to the Vic Market on the way home tomorrow.  Have put the car fridge in the back of car so can buy fish and chicken.
We have been thoroughly spoilt at the Sofitel. Could stay a few more days but next week, lots of visitors.

It’s rained nonstop for the past couple of days. DH heard on the news that November has been the wettest on record. It’s very muddy underfoot and one of my wellies have sprung a leak so one of my sock gets wet. Really need to buy a new pair of Wellington Boots.
