Chookie, scroll up to Quirky Jo's posting and see how she has her blogsite listed at the bottom of her post.  This is what you need to do with your blog so that people can go straight to it by clicking on it - perhaps ask Amanda if she can do it for you.  If not, I'm sure someone on here can point you in the right direction to do it yourself. At the moment they need to click on your name and that leads them to your profile where you do have your blog address but it would be easier to have it come up everytime you post something.  Are you with me?

I have written all that down Nay-nay and will try it next time I need to put in a link. It does sound easy but we will wait and see.  You will know when I have done my first successful one - I will be screaming from the rooftop.

bellesy, I rarely do risotto but with the scale issue it can be a bit tricky so perhaps you could weigh things before commencing the recipe rather than just tipping ingredients such as rice, milk etc straight into the bowl. I was a bit of a bull at a gate to start with but have learnt to take it easy now and if I do go over it is only a matter of 5 grams. You will soon learn how your machine works in this regard.  Nay-nay makes a good point with putting a sloppy risotto in the thermosaver - the rice will absorb the extra liquid in no time.

Before I stopped looking at her, I did notice she does both.

Yay, someone who understands where I am coming from.  And to think I actually pointed you in the right direction when you first started Chookie, what a laugh. The blind leading the blind.  Bit by bit though we are getting there and I guess it doesn't matter how you go about it, as long as you succeed in the end.  Your friend could show you the proper way though. Another thing I do is once I have typed in the link I click on preview before I post it.  You can then click on the link yourself in the review to make sure it works - some of them are very long and you only need to get a dot or something wrong and it will not work. Have a go though Chookie.  :-*

That speaks for itself Chookie, what a difference.  My electricity bill is higher too but then that could also be because my computer is on from the moment I wake until very late at night not because of what the TMX is using  :-)) :-)) :-))  I like to be able to pop into my room at anytime to see what is happening on the forum or if any emails have come in. It only gets turned off during the day if I go out.

Thanks MM, how compassionate of you to think of the unfortunate people caught up in last year's horror. It is obviously still very raw in their minds and perhaps something they will never ever get over. I for one, certainly join you in remembering this dreadful period of our history.

I don't know how to copy and paste or whatever so I do it the hard way.  I find the thread I want then write down the link (which is on the second line from the top of the page for those who don't understand & I imagine there aren't too many of you out there) onto a piece of paper, go back to the thread where I want to put it, click on the blue thing that looks like a helmet (which means insert hyperlink) then type the link in.  Sometimes takes a while but I get there.  I can hear you all laughing at me  ;D ;D ;D

Hi mum23, no-one on this forum is going to tell you not to buy a TMX - we all love our machines too much :D :D  The things you can make for your children alone are worth having the machine for and as alioop said, you will soon work out how to convert your own special dietary needs.  You can always ask for advice here, put up your favourite recipe eg and someone will have a go at converting it for you I am sure. Once you have done one, you could probably work out the rest for yourself but remember we love questions on this forum. Go on, take the plunge and join the rest of us. Believe us all, you will not regret it.

Not wanting to cook, no I cannot imagine you not being in the kitchen Cookie1.  So glad you sought help though and your problem is under control.   :-* :-*
We too have a whiteboard with the week's activities, appointments and needle nights for DH (every second night).  Even though it is there in black and white I still manage to forget it on the odd occasion.  He takes responsibility too for the mistake as he says it shouldn't be left up to me to remember everything. He was looking at one of isi's recipe print-outs today whilst i was making it and he questioned the date being 2010  ??? ???  At least I know that is correct - we make a right good pair don't we :-)) :-))

Today from 500g mince meat I made a minced beef quiche and a batch of Sloppy Joe (4 meals for the 2 of us), isi's Juicy muffins and Chookies iced coffee syrup (used the rest of my last batch giving drinks to the workers who did my garden last week, weren't they spoilt).  Have posted the quiche recipe and will do a review of the Sloppy Joe when we have it tomorrow night.
