I didn't add any extra sugar Uni - I hope it tastes ok, I must have missed the bad reviews  :'( I'm not a sweets eater so probably won't have any of it but I would hate it to go to waste.

Wonder, if you like dark chocolate, like we do, you will like it. It is very rich...so thin slices are in order. How did you get your base to look so good? Mine broke as soon as I started to cut it.

Lovely presentation Wonder.   I'm not a huge chocolate eater either, but I enjoyed a small slice of this when I made it.  :D

Well it looks like ill need to see if the neighbors would like any. I had a tiny slice and one other person did so we have over three quarters left  :-[. The vanilla slices were a hit and there was just too much food and the kids all had icy poles and mini chocolate bars.

Curt on, it's a biscuit base. I find if you pack it in really well using the bottom of a glass it doesn't fall apart and cuts well.

Bumping this for newbies...made it again last night for a dinner party. Huge hit and so easy to make. I  made it with 70% cocoa and dark chocolate (half and half)... If you like dark chocolate, you will love this recipe.

We were invited for dinner on short notice and decided to made this, DH's request.  Made the crust with biscuit, using Cadbury baking chocolate and add a bit of homemade vanilla sugar.  It's perfect!
