Bought myself a little black evening bag and black top to wear under the outfit I will be wearing to DD's deb ball, only need to get some "bling" now.  Then spotted two jackets I liked so decided to buy them both.  I told DH I am worth it. :D :D

Cornish pasties, slow coooked beef stew and a large pot of bolognaise sauce to take to DD's at the weekend.  We are going down to look after the children for 4 days while DD and her partner fly up to Queensland to get married.  A very quiet affair to avoid problems with some family members.

Made some sausage rolls today and they took ages to cook.  Still haven't bought a new oven yet but it is high on the list of things to do.

Been out to  DS's property collecting a trailer load of wood.  The new house has a wood heater unfortunately, but we will change this at a later date.

I am sorry I have been absent for so long.  We moved into our new home at Easter and have been busy ever since going back and forth between houses doing cleaning and keeping the garden in order.  The new owners of our old home don't take over until next month so we still have lawns to mow etc.  As well as that I have not had any internet connection for about 3 1/2 weeks.  First my monitor died and then my internet provider thought I had left them rather than just changing the address so they disconnected me.  All is well now though and we are starting to settle down a bit.  I am sure it will take me weeks to catch up on everything that has happened.

Though unlike Mab, ours is much larger, with a much larger yard and a pool. Sad thing is we don't know when we will be moving as it has tenants in at at the moment that are looking for a new place ... will just start packing and hope it is well before their lease expires at the end of July  :-)) :-))

Hopefully things will settle down now we have finished house hunting and I get more than a fleeting glance at my beloved forum  :) :)

Congratulations on your new house faffa.  Sorry I am a bit late with this, I have had my head in boxes until I am tired of the sight of them.

We are leasing our place for two months as of this Thursday as settlement is not until May.  This way we can start moving a lot of the garage and workshop items across.

Still haven't made up my mind about which stove to buy yet.

Well ladies I am in the market for a new stove for the house we have bought.  The one that is there is much too small and won't fit two cookie trays side by side so that just won't do. ;D

 I have noticed that most ovens are now electric and as I have only ever cooked with gas up till now would like some opinions on what is the best way to go.  DH has been looking at the EMILIA brand which has a gas/electric oven. 

Any of your thoughts and ideas would be appreciated.
