A lovely view of your garden Chookie.  Don't worry about  the dark clouds enjoy the view.

We went and had some blood tests done yesterday.  Sign on the door says only 4 people at once in the waiting room.  Only 2 people inside so we went in and were quickly told to go out again as they only wanted 2 people there at once.  Nothing makes sense these days.

Mab, all very confusing and stressful.
Gert, first time I have envied you and your consistently warm weather.  Max here today, 6.

Chookie it is a very beautiful garden. Congratulations to you and Ral.

It's time for some lovely weather up your way Gert. Did you get much of a wet season? Friends in Broome said theirs was lousy.

We had a lovely “WET” no cyclones which the season officially closed today. Life is good here.

Wonderful. Cyclones are a real nuisance.

Hello everyone, I’ve been absent for a few days as my dear Mum passed away suddenly on the 28th April. It was too quick so I wasn’t able to get there in time but I spent the afternoon with her until the funeral home came for her.  I can’t imagine life without my regular visits to the nursing home but that’s both my loves gone now after 6.5 years in care.  I’m doing OK.

Oh Judy, I'm so sorry to be reading this.  Has your mum been unwell or was it expected?  It's made worse by not being able to visit recently. Like you say, visiting every day for so long has become a routine that will take a bit of time breaking.  I'm not the best with these sorts of things, my thoughts are with you xx.

Thank you Katie & Julie. At 97 you have to expect this phone call, Mum was having a lot of little problems of late and slowing down but she was still mobile and could feed herself if she felt like eating but her heart just gave up. She passed away in her lounge chair watching TV with 3 other ladies, she wasn’t feeling well and wouldn’t eat but that was normal to have days like that.

Well Judy you have to say not a bad way to go. No pain, just quietly to sleep. Life changing for you now. Bless.

Very sad for you Judy.  Now you must look after yourself.
As K Atie says, it is cold.  Yesterday was miserable with showers all day.
I spent the day making 2 new recipes. Both successful.

Thanks Margaret and Chookie. I agree with you Gert, it was a good way to go and as my caring roles are over I guess I can look after myself better.  Sitting around not doing much on a day like today is still strange to me though, not having to go out but I did cook myself a nice lunch and had a glass of wine with it.  Wouldn’t have had time for that before.
