Well, stone the crows, I turned the freezer off today for defrosting. It wasn't empty but the little bit I have will fit into my kitchen fridge/freezer which is very tiny and now bursting at the seams.
I was going to toss a slice of saved wedding cake that has been in several freezers for 32yrs from my wedding with late DH but couldn't do it. I've had it this long and it doesn't take up much space.

Why not. Is is cryo packed?

Do you stretch after running Amy?  Also a foam roller might help loosen up your calves.

I do stretch... a bit... but probably not enough :-)) Never heard of a foam roller, where would I get one?

Nup, just in a decor container. It has been in several containers over the years.
It's not the cake so much, just the sentimental attachment.
And it doesn't take up very much space, so for now it's a keeper. Don't know why, I want to keep it.

Nice memories Michele, that's why you can't get rid of it.

It sounds very special DFM, I don't think I would get rid of it either :) Especially after 32 years ;)

Yes, it's the memories, and I feel a bit guilty getting rid of it.
Ridiculous, I know, get rid of the cake, get rid of a bit more of late DH. So silly.

We have our first orphan Lamb walking around our house at the moment. Before we left to take DS to Devonport he was a very weak lamb who couldn't move, we left him in front of the fire, gave him the tiniest bit of milk (all he could manage) and left him hoping he would be alive when we returned.
5 hours later we returned to an empty box and no lamb in sight :o
A quick search of the house and a few surprises later we found him in the top room walking around :D
A friend is going to take him in the next couple of days so he should be pretty strong by then :)

Calf, quad and hamstring stretches are very important for runners Amy. Try this website for either a foam roller or a rumble roller.

Hang onto those memories Michele, you obviously had a wonderful first marriage.  Now, if a guy walks out on you it's a different story - it's easy to throw everything out ;)
