We have an iroomba robotic vacuum, and I would give it mixed reviews too.  It is easy to use, and a great-time saver and does a pretty good job, but the floor needs to be free of "hazards".  We have 2 little boys, and any bits of lego or suchlike will jam it up.  Also, it tends to get stuck on our skirting boards, or up against table or chair legs.  Which is fine if you are home while it is working and can free it up and set it going again, but if you want it to vacuum while you are out, then it is not that good.

Thanks for that Karen. We have 2 kids and lego on the floor, I thought it might get stuck under the table or going around corners..

We have one too. It is pretty good but I agree it can get stuck by sucking up a sock or toy. It does work best when everything is lifted up. I often put it in a room, shut the door and let it do a room at a time.

I have a iromba and love it I think it does a great job BUT I have mostly tiles and no small children so nothing on the floor much, I think in the bedrooms it does a better job on the carpet than my Dyson, I am always amazed when I "clean her bottom " ( empty out the dust bin ) to see how much is there from what I thought was a clean room, I use it everyday.

To keep in the the thread, my local deptment store ( only have one ) has a 40% sale off all kitchen items, I got a Mandoline slicer ( procastinating about these for ages ) and stocked up on Utensils, peelers, etc, I seeem to be always loosing them.
I love how you can colour theme kitchen items now .... I am trying for all lime green and black. Another 20 years and I am sure  I will be saying "what was I thinking with all this lime green stuff!"...lol
