Mab the poor child. Life must be very difficult for him. Thank goodness he has you.

We had a nasty incident here on Thursday night when our grandson was assasaulted by his mother who was drunk.  GS who is 12 managed to run out of the house to a phone box and call 000 where he waited until the police came to collect him.  His dad doesn't live with them and works away during the week so we were called in to take care of him.  Had to go to court the next day and we are now going to have him for the next 3 weeks and then back to court.  Don't know what is going to happen in the end as she is not fit to have him.

Thank goodness he has you mab stay strong for him ,and take extra care of your self  :-*

hugs and kisses

Your poor GS, Mab. How can a parent do that to a child, her own child???!

OMG Mab that is just terrible. Just breaks my heart that someone so young has to see that. Hugs to you and a big one to GS.

Oh that is so sad mab, glad he was able to get away and get help, sending hugs to you all.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Mab, grandparents seem to have a special relationship with their GC.  This is good as different situations arise  when this is very important.  I am sure you will do what you can.

We grandparents are so important and have a huge and special place in the lives of our GC's Mab.
He is so lucky to have you in his life to give unconditional love and support no matter what the circumstances.
Lots of love and big hugs to you and keep strong.  :)

Good Morning CC and Uni  :D

I didn't get a chance to come on the forum yesterday and there is so much to catch up on.

Did have a lovely day in The Hunter Valley - lunch at Potters Brewery and several hours wandering around Wallis Creek water plant nursery.  :D
