Tips/Hints:  I got this recipe from Sternekoechin at http://www.wunderkessel.de/forum/hauptgerichte-fragen-hilfe/21467-hat-rezept-fuer-bohnengemuese.html in response to a request by UnConundrum.  Haven't tried it myself as yet, although I will.

As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

ROLF.  Many, MANY years ago, when I was in Grad School, and still learning to cook, I made a tuna noodle casserole, and added the pasta directly to the cooking tuna, in a crock pot.  The pasta essentially dissolved into a pasty yucky mess.  Now, every time I see a recipe that cooks the noodles in the final product, I remember back to that nasty attempt....

I'll give this a try and report back.... but don't be surprised if I leave the macaroni out ;)  Thanks a bunch.

It depends on which country you're from, Thermomixer.  Some countries' books say to drop it onto running blades, and some don't.  Both ways work.

Ta,  I haven't seen in Italy or Spain either.  But it is like beating egg whites at 37 deg.  Somebody worked out that it works best, then it spread.  Maybe the same with chopping garlic.  I like the idea of it hitting a fast moving blade as it often just gets pushed up the sides when chopping with garlic already in the bowl.

How many people use the basket to help with chopping small amounts.  I was told ages ago and then promptly forgot.  :-[ :-[

Never heard of that.  Does it act like an internal lid, keeping the pieces from the sides?

Exactly, it stops the bits flying up to the lid and helps reduce the number of large chunks that develop sometimes when chopping veg etc.

Would that be "How many people MEAN to use the basket when chopping small amounts, but regularly forget?  ;D
