After Christmas I bought a 750g Panettone out on special for $2.99 specifically so that I could make this recipe.  It's really lovely.  I left the egg yolk out, sprinkled some chocolate chips over the panettone and used the milk/cream option.  I also used boiling water in the TM bowl and my pudding took 35 minutes to set before being popped under the grill to brown.

Thanks girls, it's an old classic although Mum would never have made it with Panettone.

That looks delicious Judy.  I like to leave the crusts on my bread too when making a b & b pudding.  I so like the extra crunch  ;D

I like going back to some of the oldies Denise, it was an exciting time when this forum was first introduced to those of us desperately seeking recipes for our new machines.

Even when I got my machine Judy.  Not like today with everyone publishing recipe books for Thermomix.  This forum certainly gave me confidence in my machine. I think that is why I can't go past every book.  Really must stop though, running out of room.

I find it hard not to buy a TM recipe book, but I must admit to not making heaps from any of them which is sad as there are so many great recipes.  I think I get over faced with so many different ones.  That's why I love to see when others have posted reviews as it makes me go back and have a look.  Maybe that should be my New Years Resolution (never usually make them) - to start using the books that I have already and not to buy any more for a while.  :P

I try and tell myself that there is only so many ways ingredients can be combined. It doesn't work. Like JulieO I love the reviews as it helps me decide to make things I may not have tried.

I am on a mission to cook up all the stuff that has been sitting around.  We have some Pannetoni to use up.  Very happy to make this recipe.  Thank you to Thermomixer for the recipe and to everyone who has commented on this thread.  :)

I have some Brioche in the freezer from our cooking classes. I think I will make them into B & B pudding.
