Having a couple of friends in for morning tea today so decided to make some of nay-nay's scones. I thought they seemed a bit heavy when I was pressing them out but in the oven they went and boy what a disaster.
I had used plain flour instead of SR flour.
They were terrible so threw them out on the lawn for the birds and they took quite a while to eat them.
Had a second go and this time they were perfect, so nice and light and fluffy. I will be using this recipe again but will pay more attention next time.
