Maddy I love the snowmen.

Today I am cooking American sugar cookies with my 2 dd (24 and 26). It is a recipe of my mother's. we make them every year at Christmas.  This year I did the mixing in the Thermomix.  When I work out the conversion I will post it.

I also knocked up a quick coleslaw to have with sausages for dinner.

It is good to have my girls home for Christmas but I wish they would stop bickering for a few minutes.

Merry Christmas everyone.

It has been cool enough here in Adelaide to have hot meals at the moment so with leg ham leftovers, I made a stir-fry dish one night and Hawaiian pizza scrolls last night.  Today I'll make some pizzas and fried rice.

Tonight we're having Chookie's quiche. It's going to be 38+ here today so it's a bit warm. We've been spoiled with the cooler weather.

Last night dd made pineapple fruity dream. An unusual choice of fruit but it worked well.
Tonight I will make a basil, spinach and feta pull apart and a beetroot salad to have with the last of the left over turkey and ham.

Yvette, I got the idea from here but they ended up nothing like the original recipe.

You could put anything on there that you fancy. My version was - homemade pizza sauce, scattered with chopped ham, pineapple and mozzarella cheese. Rolled into a log and followed the rest of the directions from there. 1cm is not very thick, I think I would go thicker next time as I think they would be far easier to cut through. You may need to use 2 pastry sheets if there are more than 2 people to feed.

Tonight was chicken salad with Vietnamese dressing from tenina's dinner spinner.  "Delicious" from my OH, SIL and BIL.  It was so easy to make and took no time to make.
I on the other hand craved salad so made a spinach salad with 4 bean mix, corn, avocado, cucumber and tomato with a simple dressing.
