One of my neighbors has a license to raise endangered species of birds.  Mostly she has Moluccan Cockatoos but also has some Lorikeets she is taking care of that were seized from a smuggler as she has excellent quarantine facilities that the govt doesn't have.
I think they are called "Rainbow" birds.  She also works with several zoos.

She has had fantastic results with breeding birds that do not usually breed in captivity.  She only sells a few of her own birds each year and is super fussy about who is allowed to "adopt" them.

I ended up making the dog biscuits. It made 4 full trays. The first batch didn't brown up at all, so I gave the others a egg wash which helped.

The greyhound happily munched up 2 with her tea, but the little dog just walked away (pretty much what happens every night with her tea though). She has since been back and eaten it. I've packaged some up for my SIL's dogs.

They look great Katie, glad the big girl got stuck into them - after all the effort you put into them it would have been terribly disappointing if she had walked away from them too.  Maybe the little one will get a taste for them too now that she has tried them.

The little dog is fussy Judy and only eats when and what she decides.

I used a cookie cutter shaped like a dog bone Kimmy.

It's good to get reliable help in the Kitchen these days ... give him another doggie biscuit and he may concede to stay on your staff for another year!
