Chit Chat / Re: What book are you reading?

Not reading but listening on audible while I am driving. The suspect by Michael Robotham. This was his first book written around 2004.  It is gripping once you get about 1/3 of the way in.

He started as a journalist, then ghost wrote 15 autobiographies, a few of which won critical acclaim. When he should his agent the outline and few rough chapters of this book and his agent shared it with some publishers at the London book awards a bidding war ensued for the publishing rights.

There is good interview with him by Richard Fidler.

I was searching for a quick roll or bread recipe to go with some soup tonight and came across these. Quick, easy and very good. Will use this recipe again. I'll post a picture if I remember how to use tapatalk.

Thanks Uni.

It was obvious all along that Thermomix Australia was trying to avoid a recall and cover up waht had to be a faulty lid locking mechanism. It may come back to bite them.

I've never frozen them before but the person who gave them to me said they are fine to freeze fresh for cooking at a later date.

I was given a big bag of figs yesterday so I made fig and ginger jam and a fig upside down cake. Both came out pretty good.

I still have nearly a kilo left which i washed and froze.

I have been working my way through the Tess Gerritsen Rizoli and Ilses serries of crime fiction. Like most of crime fiction based around a "hero" it can be a bit far fetched, You would think that they would learn to be more carful and not put themselves in the killers way so much. But it can also be very engrossing where you feel like you just need to read hte next paragraph to see what happens.

I am reading these on the kindle becuase it is easy to just download another one and you don;'t have to hunt through the book store only to find they dont have the next one in the series. I finished the patric O'Brian Jack Aubrey/Stephen Maturian sereid on the kindle for this reason. Whenever I when to the book shop I could only ever find the first few books in the serries and not the later ones.

I have just started (in hardcopy) Patrick O'Brian's biography. I am still reading the introduction but so far it is interesting.

First day of my holidays and so far I have made a lemon meringue pie, which I took into work for morning tea. Then I serviced the lawnmower, mowed the lawn and repaired the retic. Took a nap then made an Angel food cake. I alos manage to get a load of washing on.

Tomorrow's jobs include stocking up on cat and chook food for the animals while we are away, the neighbor will feed them for us.
