Had a great night out last night thanks girls.  Huge hall (used for Italian weddings) with black and white panelled fabric roof draping towards the sides, fairy lights at every join and huge chandeliers strategically placed along the length of the room.  300 people there last night - the group who hold this function the first Monday of the month at this venue (next to Target on Tapleys Hill Road for local girls) is called the Adelaide Music Group, mainly older people.  They served 2 types of dishes, crumbed fish or roasted fillet steak and you virtually got what came your way.  As I knew my friend on my left really wanted the fillet steak meal, I let her have mine and I had the fish - 3 pieces with vegies.  We had started off with cheese/crackers/bread rolls and I shared a bottle of moscato with my friend on the right.  The 3 piece band and singer struck up after we had eaten our main course then at interval we had a choice of desserts - so many choices but I picked the pannacotta to go with my coffee.  Had a great time although the music was not really to our taste (jazz) and the seats became very hard after 3.5 hours.  Something different for our group though.

Sounds lovely Judy, and its always nice to have a meal cooked for you :D I don't think I would have still been awake after 3.5 hours, so I think you did very well to stay that long!! ;D

Maddy, that meal looks fabulous ;) How do you get your carrot grated nicely like that? I have never been able to figure it out ???

Beef and fetta meatloaf. It is a bit different so if it turns out I will put the recipe up.
