Hi, can someone help please..
I've made mashed potatoes twice now & they've turned out beautifully, but.. they've left a "scorch" brown mark on the base of the TM bowl, which I can't get off with normal cleaning, using the brush.
I have to do a full clean with vinegar & a bit of dishwashing liquid & "cook" it for a while... And still then scrub it with the brush.
What am I doing wrong? .. I thought maybe the first time I overcooked them, but last night it happened again & there's no way they were overcooked. I use Physical No Fat Milk - could that be it? Should I use full cream?
Any tips??
Many thanks

Salval under 'Tips and Tricks", about page 3 there are a few topics there about cleaning the bowl

I just let it soak with water and then rup off with a bit of elbo grease usually does it...

Oops.. sorry I should have put this in the Questions area! Just goes to show which part of this forum I usually look in.
Thanks CP63 & Bambi

Hello Salval, Maybe you would like to try cooking your potatoes in the basket with about 750mls water in the *: I cook mine for 30 mins on varoma ^^ when potatoes are cooked I put the butterfly in *: tip potatoes in with some butter and milk and give them about 10secs on 4. They turn out beautifully, I found this method on the forum I think ???Mine always used to stick in the *: and it took a lot of cleaning this method doesnt ;D

I've found it is particularly the new machines that have the sticking problem - after a bit of use it doesn't really happen all that much. :)

I agree with this method too Pam but I think you mean 10 seconds on speed 4, not 10 minutes for the mashing.

Pam, I'll definitely try it that way.
Many thanks all

;D :-[Yes I did mean 10sec Judydawn sorry about that Salval

I do the same as Pam.
I've found that I'm getting burn marks lately with sauces and risottos. I soak the bowl with some dishwasher powder in it, then use bi-carb and a scourer. Most of it comes off with the soaking.
