I say the same thing Judy our tv cost more than the tmx and it doesn't do anything close to what the tm does this is how I justify it to people not that I should have to ::)

I agree with you all and our TV cost more than my beloved TMX ... all it does is encourage the family to sit on their big butts and get bigger butts, unfit and unhealthy!!

Going before I get into a full on rant  :P :P

Tips and Tricks / Re: Tips for making Scrolls
« on: December 05, 2013, 01:11:50 pm »
They look FABULOUS!!

To get your dough in a rectangle, start of with it in a log and roll along the length of the log to flatten it a little before you start rolling it out in width, then just work both ways. The biggest tip is to only roll LIGHTLY  ;) ;)

It truly does come with practice ... I'm pretty good at it now but have been making scrolls for 6.5 years  ;D ;D ;D

I'm Faffa and I believe I am lucky number 30!

I would love the Thermo Diva apron should I win.

Courton you are very generous and I know where I will be shopping when I wear out my aprons as they are all gorgeous. I had a hard time choosing  :D :D

They are absolutely gorgeous, Kathryn.  What breed are they?  Poodle?

Kimmy, I love Jasper, he looks like a real ball of mischief.

... and as for the Boxers, I have a big sloppy soft spot for them.  You all have the most wonderful companions.

They are 3/4 poodle and 1/4 chihuahua :) had no intentions of purchasing them. DH saw them in the pet shop and just wanted to test DS number 4 for his allergies as he has not been able to handle any other cross breeds with the poodle and there is a shortage of poodles in WA at the moment. Well he didn't react and expected Dad to go back and buy when we had finished our shopping!!! We purchased Oscar and Maximus came home the next day too lol  ;D ;D

Chit Chat / Re: Butter bells
« on: October 27, 2013, 01:25:39 am »
I don't know if she still has any, I can find out (in the end though with postage etc I think it was just as cheap to purchase from Amazon!!). I love mine and with all of us I just use two and have one ready to go as the other nearly empties. In the summer on the stinking hot days you can't leave it on the bench, but I find putting it in the fridge it is insulated enough that it is still spreadable to use from the butter bell :)

I only ever pre warm mine for yoghurt, other than that hot food straight in :)

Bread / Re: Second Epic fail bread attempt :-(
« on: October 03, 2013, 08:03:32 am »
Melissa I would also say that your oven was too hot when you put the dough in to prove. I only ever heat mine to the lowest setting and then turn it off and put the dough in it (just to be sure) Please don't give up. The bread I make today compared to when I first started is a world apart. Once you master it you know by the look and feel of the dough what needs to be done once you start playing with other recipes.

Is there a version of her wraps recipe on the forum anywhere? All references I've come across lead back to a dead page on her blog...???
Thx
Gillian

Gillian she has closed her blog and placed all her recipes on the forum here. You can search for them all by searching "Chelsea" from the home page

We love our soda stream for sparkling water. Only use homemade cordials like the berry cordial from the EDC or the passionfruit cordial from here :)

These work out a treat. I'm not a huge lover of poached eggs as I don't like runny eggs but I do enjoy these. I cook them for 30 seconds longer.  You can Keep them warm in your thermoserver ... Especially if you have the small 1 litre one :)

Made these today after DS number 4 had been through the book ages ago and has been begging me for them (bad mummy making him wait lol) They are really easy to make. I just milled down some rolled oats as I am wheat free and that way I could have some too  :D :D
