Tips and Tricks / Re: List of Hints and Tips for New Owners
« on: February 05, 2010, 05:47:36 am »
Ok so have just re-read it very carefully.  Weird how you interpret things (or maybe it's just me!!).  Realise we are getting food off the spatula and it doesn't have some other magic power to make the bowl become non-stick or something.  You know like clicking your heels together (Wizard of OZ).  Anyway thanks for clarification! :-[ :-))

I have tried tapping on the inside of the bowl but didn't see any custard come off the side.

Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Re: Custard help

Hi
She is using the recipe from the EDC but the first batch works so I am still thinking it is probably not cleaning the bowl completely or that the bowl is too hot. Any other thoughts welcome.
Thanks

Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Custard help
« on: January 22, 2010, 12:51:04 am »
Hi All
I have a customer who uses Thermomix for commercial use.  She regularly makes custard in double quantities.  She told me this works fine but she has then tried to make a second double quantity staright after the first and it does not thicken.  She does not completely clean the bowl inbetween so I suggested to try that.  I also thought it may be because the bowl is too hot and affects the thickening.  I am no chef or custard expert though so hope some of you may have some suggestions.
Thanks ???

I have had my Thermomix for just over 2 months.  I am also operating as a consultant and am really loving the whole Thermomix experience. Demo's are lots of fun and cooking classes etc are great for learning.  I am hoping to be able to spend more time on the forum in coming weeks too finding out as much as possible from all of you more experienced users.  :)
